Do you know what to do if you are asked for an interview by the media? Get it right and it can do wonders for you or your organisation. Get it wrong and you can waste the opportunity or, if it is bad news, damage your reputation.
This one-day workshop which is suitable for anyone who may have to carry out media interviews or brief those who do, will look at good and bad practice with reference to past and current examples. There will also be the opportunity to carry out broadcast-style interviews in a safe setting with a former TV and radio journalist.

Trainer Profile: Kate Betts
Kate is a former journalist, who now specialises in media training and crisis media management. She is an associate trainer at the Cabinet Office Emergency Planning College and for the Chartered Institute of Public Relations. Her journalistic experience includes working in newspapers, for the BBC and for commercial television. Kate is a BBC-trained video-journalist and has made features for BBC Radio 4. She has also taught print and broadcast journalism at the University of Sheffield and is the director of an award-winning PR agency.
