Andy Broomhead is the Head of Engaging Communities and Volunteering at Diabetes UK, an organisation leading the fight against diabetes. In 2018, Diabetes UK developed their first volunteer strategy that aimed to improve the experiences of their voluntary workers.

In this video, Broomhead opens an advice-based discussion for organisations within the voluntary sector to explore the best practice for engaging with and involving volunteers in strategy development. He shares advice for measuring the impact of a volunteer strategy as well as guidance for adapting these strategies based on feedback and the external environment.
