We’re delighted to welcome Dr Emma Waltham as a content contributor for MyGovCentral.
Dr Waltham specialises in supporting STEM organisations to successfully re-engage their maternity returners.
Emma started her career in STEM and has a chemistry PhD. She worked as a director in a variety of sectors, including media and recruitment, and has extensive, first-hand expertise in business transformation and leadership.
Following a maternity break, Emma gained a Certificate in Coaching with the University of Cambridge and launched a business in 2015, partnering with STEM organisations to improve the experience of their maternity returners, providing consultancy, training and coaching services.

Organisations partner with Emma to create a best-practice experience for their maternity returners, so that they are able to re-engage after motherhood and continue their career pathways.
Emma spoke at our Government Events’ Supporting and Engaging Women in STEM in Higher Education Conference on Creating Early Intervention Strategies to Engage and Support Women of All Ages in STEM Courses.
You will be able to watch Dr Waltham’s session, here on MyGovCentral very soon. Plus, as a Content Contributor, over the next 12-months Dr Waltham will be expanding on the key themes discussed during the conference and across other areas of her work, which you’ll only be able to access on MyGovCentral.
