5.7 million people in the UK are on Universal Credit according to the Department for Work & Pensions.

Saskia Neibig is a Senior Policy and Parliamentary Affairs Officer at Crisis where she works on welfare policy and police enforcement in addition to other policy areas. Prior to working at Crisis, Saskia worked as a policy adviser at HM Treasury.

In this video, Saskia discusses working in partnership with work coaches and job centres to tailor support for people receiving universal credit who are at risk of homelessness. She shares key aspects of developing a person centred approach, highlighting the importance of managing the claim as an ongoing process for the individual.
