Between 2021 and 2022, 11,600 children in England were identified as being at risk of criminal exploitation by gangs. [1]

Dr Suchi Bhandri is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Trust Head of Psychology and Psychological Therapies at Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health Trust. She leads a psychologically underpinned mental health and wellbeing service for marginalised young people who are at risk of becoming gang-affiliated called Project Future.

In this video, Suchi shares the processes undertaken to create Project Future, a community-based project rehabilitating youths who are affiliated with gangs. She highlights the importance of a multi-agency approach in supporting the multiple disadvantages youths may have when helping them escape criminal exploitation.
