In the year ending March 2022, there were over 155,000 hate crimes recorded by the police in England and Wales according to the Home Office.

Victoria Willis is Lead Practitioner for Restorative Justice at Catch 22 Nottinghamshire Victim CARE. She has facilitated multiple complex cases, helping victims of serious crime move forward to find closure. Andrew Goodall is a Restorative Justice Practitioner at Catch 22, Nottinghamshire Victim CARE.

In this video Andrew and Victoria discuss what a restorative justice approach is, highlighting how giving the victims of hate crime an opportunity to engage with perpetrators can provide them with closure.
