How do I book onto one of your events?

There are 3 simple ways to book onto our events:

1. Book Online

2. Call us on 0330 0584 285

3. Download and complete the event brochure on the event webpage. The event brochure can be scanned and emailed to us at info@governmentevents.co.uk. Once the booking is complete, the person making the booking will receive a confirmation email from us. Please make sure @governmentevents.co.uk is marked as a safe sender address in your inbox.


Can I make a provisional booking?

Unfortunately not. All places are based on a first come, first served basis. When you are ready to book, please call us on 0330 0584 285 and we will book you onto your chosen course (pending availability).


Which sector rate category do I need to select when booking?

Choose you correct sector according to the following:

  • Public Sector: Organisations in the Public Sector, including: Care Homes, Colleges, Central Government, Devolved Administrations, Executive Agencies, Fire Authorities, GP’s, Housing Associations, Libraries, Local Authorities, NHS, Non-Departmental Public Bodies, Police Authorities, Schools, Social Enterprises, Universities.
  • Voluntary Sector: Organisations in the Voluntary and Not-For-Profit sector. (For Charities a Charity Number is required to book).
  • Private Sector:  Organisations in the Private Sector.

If you unsure of your sector, please call us on 0330 0584 285 and we can clarify. We reserve the right to cancel a booking if it is determined to be placed under the wrong sector categorisation.


What discounts are there for your events?

There are various offers, discounts and additional booking incentives on all of our events. From early bird discount codes, one-off offers, and even restaurant concessions. To subscribe to our mailing list and be kept up to date with all the latest offers, please email subscribe@governmentevents.co.uk.

For group bookings discounts for more than 3 people, please call us on 0330 0584 285 or email us on info@governmentevents.co.uk for further information.

Cancellations and delegate changes

What is your cancellation policy?

The Client shall have the right to cancel the Order within 14 days of booking.

Bookings cancelled after the 14 day cancellation period will be chargeable at the full fee paid or due from the booking. All cancellations must be put in writing to accounts@governmentevents.co.uk.

We cannot offer refunds where events are cancelled as a result of events outside of our control.

We reserve the right to cancel an event if delegate numbers fall below a sustainable/viable level.

If an event is cancelled, other than in respect of any refund to which you may be entitled under these terms and conditions, we shall not be liable to you for any losses or liabilities suffered or incurred by you as a result.

Cancellations won’t be accepted over the phone and must be done in writing to accounts@governmentevents.co.uk

Unfortunately, no refund can be given after that date, although name changes and substitutions can be made at any time, at no charge.

Please contact us with details of the original attendee and the new attendee’s full name, job title, phone number and email address. Government Events are not able to offer refunds for cancellations arising from events outside of our control.


I can no longer attend the events, what shall I do?

If you can no longer attend the event, please notify us in advance by contacting 0330 0584 285 or Info@GovernmentEvents.co.uk. You can send someone else in your place without any additional charge. If you can’t send someone else in your place, please see full Terms and Conditions


Venue, dietary and access requirements

When will I obtain the event joining instructions?

Event joining instructions are normally sent to delegates 2 weeks prior to an event. If you have not received them 10 days before the event please contactinfo@governmentevents.co.uk and let us know and we will re-send accordingly. Delegate replacements can also be sent joining instructions.


How do I inform you of any dietary or access requirements?

These can be added in the comments sections of the booking form. Or alternatively, please email us (as early as possible) at info@governmentevents.co.uk of any dietary or access requirements. Most requirements can usually be catered for with adequate notice. Vegetarians are catered for at the event. All our venues are fully accessible to all delegates.


When are your event venue’s confirmed?

Our venues are confirmed between six to eight weeks prior to the date of an event. All delegates who are booked to attend an event will receive full joining instructions with the agenda information, venue details, directions and more, two weeks prior to the event.


Finance and accounts administration

Can I make a booking without a purchase order number?

Yes. Make the booking, and then just email info@governmentevents.co.uk with the PO number as soon as you have it. PO’s should be made out to Government Events, 90 Long Acre, Covent Garden, London, WC2E 9RZ. Tel no is 0330 0584 285.


What are your payment options?

Invoice and Credit Card. Card payments are taken at the conclusion stage of an online booking using the Stripe payment system. Payment will be taken straight away with a card receipt containing a link to the VAT invoice emailed to the individual who has booked the place(s).

If paying via invoice, an invoice will be sent within 48 hours of making the booking with payment due 14 days from the date of the invoice. If the booking is made within 30 days of the event, payment will be required within 7 days. For all payment enquiries, please contact info@governmentevents.co.uk.


Other

Do I get CPD points from attending your events?

Yes, we are CPD accredited. 1 CPD point is given for each hour of participation.


How do I register my interest in sponsoring, exhibiting or speaking at your events?

Contact us info@governmentevents.co.uk with your enquiry.


Do you do events in London only?

No. We also plan events in Manchester and Birmingham and are constantly looking at other regions across the UK.
