Dr Gemma Jerome is the Director of Building with Nature. She is an environmental planner specialising in the design, delivery, and stewardship of green infrastructure. Building with Nature is the UK’s first green infrastructure benchmarks, standards which provide planners and developers with evidence-based, how-to, guidance on delivering high-quality green infrastructure.

In this video, Dr Jerome introduces the benchmarks by highlighting the role green infrastructure plays in supporting the climate emergency. She further addresses the need for local authorities to work with local stakeholders to develop context-driven nature recovery strategies which benefit the local area.
