With tuition fees at an all-time high, students in higher education are expecting an excellent academic experience from their universities.
Tom Lowe is the Senior Lecturer in Higher Education at the University of Portsmouth and chair of the RAISE network, which connects anyone interested in student engagement in higher education.
In this video, Lowe discusses the need for a varied and flexible academic experience to suit students, particularly post-pandemic, by focusing on two core elements: the course and the campus. He explores the reshaping of course content and structure through heightened student engagement and blended teaching, endorsing collaboration with students to expand the variety of learning resources on offer. He also highlights the importance of equity in ensuring accessibility of these resources to all students.
