Robotic Process Automation (RPA) refers to software that can be programmed to undertake administrative work that is often seen as mundane and time-consuming. It allows those working in local government more time that can be focused on person-centred work in the community.
Keith McDowell is Robotic Process Automation (RPA) leader at Norfolk County Council and has over 15 years of experience in information technology. Keith spoke at the Transforming Technology Services in Local Government Conference 2021 about the benefits of using intelligent automation in local government. They highlighted the strength of collaborative projects in the development of automation, as well as the ways that Norfolk County Council has embedded RPA into their work.
