Steve Fisher and Carol Frances are Local Risk Crew Managers at Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue. The service has 83 fire stations based throughout Devon and Somerset, they are a mix of whole-time, on-call and volunteer stations.

There were 208 fire-related fatalities in dwellings fires between 2021 and 2022.
