4,000 teenagers are exploited in London alone, according to the Children’s Society.

Curtis Ashton is the Acting Director of Young Islington in the London Borough of Islington. Young Islington is a targeted youth support team working in the borough to deliver early interventions and prevent young people from joining the criminal cycle.

In this video, Curtis shares how the integrated gang team in Islington have developed a multi-agency approach to prevent child criminal exploitation. He discusses the importance of a psychological understanding of gangs and how it helps develop a strong preventative approach to child exploitation.
