According to a 2021 survey by CIPHR, more than a third of UK adults felt they had been subject to discrimination in the workplace or when applying for a job. More specifically, the Trade Union Congress found that over 40% of Ethnic Minority individuals have faced racism in at work in the last five years.

Godwin Daudu is the Operations Manager for AFiUK, an organisation that equips African heritage and Ethnic Minority individuals in the UK with tools and knowledge to navigate third culture lived experience. AFiUK also offers consultation and expert knowledge to professionals and practitioners from Local Authorities and other support agencies.

In this video, Daudu discusses how intersectional approaches can be adopted in the workplace through community leadership, partnerships, and education-ambassador models. He discusses the importance of intersectionality programs to support underserved groups as well the recognition and utilisation of lived experiences to resolve discrimination issues.
